AREKSON EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

Since 1 January 2022, the Law on guarantees (Royal Decree Law 7/2021), approved on 27 April 2021, has been in force. This law implies responding to possible defects of origin or manufacture – lack of conformity – during the 3 years following the date of delivery.

If you register your new equipment via our website, you automatically receive a free labour service extension to your warranty for the duration of the warranty (36 months).

By registering online, you declare that:

1- General conditions and registration

Once the registration has been successfully completed, Arekson Group S.L. will offer a free extension of the labour warranty for the new equipment purchased as long as you are the final customer, whether you are an individual or a legal entity with registered office in Spain.

The present conditions are valid for equipment sold by Arekson Group S.L. The repair will be managed through the distributor where the equipment has been purchased.

Requirements for registration:

    • Tool purchased from a specialist dealer authorised by Arekson Group S.L.
    • Online registration via the following link: https://arekson.com/en/warranty within 30 days of purchase.
    • Upload a photo or pdf of the invoice as proof of the purchase date indicated.

 After successful registration, you will receive a link to your warranty certificate by e-mail. This certificate is only valid for the registered tool. Please do not delete or lose this certificate as it will be necessary to have it to prove the validity of the warranty.

With these warranty conditions, Arekson Group S.L. grants you rights in addition to the contractual and statutory rights to claim for defects. The warranty conditions do not constitute a derogation, limitation or any other modification of the contractual or statutory rights to claim for defects.

The granting of the warranty or additional services does not extend the warranty period, nor does it initiate a new warranty period. The same applies to the expiry of the statute of limitations for contractual or statutory defect claims.

If you terminate or cancel the purchase of the registered tool, whether by termination of the contract, revocation, objection or withdrawal, the tool in question will be excluded from the warranty.

2- Terms and conditions of the 36-month free labour warranty extension

The warranty period is 36 months and starts on the date shown on the original purchase receipt.

During the warranty period, Arekson Group S.L. shall provide the warranty by repairing or replacing the defective parts or replacing the tool free of charge if there is a manufacturing defect at the discretion of Arekson Group S.L. In this respect, there shall be no additional warranty claims.

The warranty shall apply if

    • The equipment supplied is demonstrably defective in workmanship.

In particular, the warranty shall not apply:

    • in the event of wear and tear of consumables and accessories;
    • if the tools and equipment have not been connected, installed, commissioned, operated, used and maintained in accordance with the operating instructions and other documentation; in case of misuse, in particular if there has been any kind of external impact (especially falls or blows, etc.);
    • in the case of equipment on which modifications have been made, in particular in the case of tools which have been disassembled;
    • in the case of continuous use involving heavy wear and tear, particularly in the case of continuous industrial use, or in the case of prolonged use of the tool more than its normal use.

3- Scope of warranty claims

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to Arekson Group S.L. immediately upon detection of the defect and within the warranty period. For this purpose, the affected tool must be presented or sent together with the original purchase receipt or warranty certificate sent to the e-mail address indicated when registering the product with the seller, which must include the date of purchase and the product designation.

4- Data protection

Personal data (e.g. name, surname, first name and address) that we have obtained from the registration of your tool (including the uploading of the invoice) for the warranty (e.g. name, surname and address) will be stored, processed and used exclusively for the purpose of warranty-related services. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Section 1 letter b) GDPR. We will retain your personal data that is necessary for the performance of the contract until the end of the warranty period.
